Best Places To Relax At The Magic Kingdom

Best Places To Relax At The Magic Kingdom

When I visit Walt Disney World, my vacation is anything but relaxing. Though I usually don’t make it to the parks in time to see them open, I believe in spending as much time as possible in the parks. I always try to fit in as many attractions as possible and almost always stay until after park closing. Even though I am always on the go at Disney, I have  found a few ways to relax while still making the most of my time in the parks. Here a just a few of my favorite ways to relax at the Magic Kingdom.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a wonderful hidden gem at the Magic Kingdom. Unless it’s raining, this attraction rarely has a line. Once you board the TTA, you will begin your scenic tour around Tomorrowland. This quiet attraction is a great place to relax or even take a nap. The photographer in your group will love photographing the amazing views along the ride. The TTA will take you inside Space Mountain and past the original model of Walt Disney’s Epcot Center. This is one attraction at the Magic Kingdom you will not want to miss.

The Carousel of Progress

Also found in Tomorrowland, The Carousel of Progress is a fantastic show detailing American progress since the early 1900s. The show, which debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, is housed in a circular theater which actually rotates during the show. The air conditioning, cushioned seats, dark theater, and wonderful show make The Carousel of Progress a great place to relax. While I highly recommend watching the show, this attraction does lend itself to being a great place for a short nap. Next time you visit the Magic Kingdom be sure to stop by The Carousel of Progress.

Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar & A Parade

If you want a good spot to view the parades or fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll usually have to claim your spot ahead of time. My family usually tries to find a parade spot about thirty minutes to an hour, depending on crowds, prior to the start of the parade. Once we’ve claimed our spot, one person from our group will find a nearby ice cream cart and bring back some Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars. I have many fond memories of taking in the sights and sounds of Main Street, U.S.A. while enjoying a Mickey bar and waiting for the parade to start. This is also one of the few times during the day your feet actually get some much needed relaxation.
