Families will be captivated by this magical movie followed by never-before-seen bonus features, including a revealing look at director David Lowery’s personal diary kept during the filming of “Pete’s Dragon,” the design process behind the lovable dragon Elliot, deleted scenes, a tour of the film’s breathtaking production location of New Zealand, audio commentary by filmmakers and actors and hilarious bloopers.
The talents of three of the world’s greatest storytellers – Roald Dahl, Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg – finally unite to bring Dahl’s beloved classic “The BFG” to life. Directed by Spielberg, Disney’s “The BFG” tells the imaginative story of a young girl and the Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country.
The holiday season is well underway at Walt Disney World! Christmas is one of the best times to visit Disney. I had the privilege of spending the holidays with Mickey several years ago. It was such a magical experience seeing the parks decorated for Christmas. If your family will be spending the holidays at Walt Disney World this year, you’ll want to be aware of the scheduled refurbishments listed below before you make your way to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
From the Academy Award®–winning creators of Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” (Best Animated Feature, 2003) comes an epic undersea adventure filled with imagination, humor and heart. When Dory, the forgetful blue tang (Ellen DeGeneres), suddenly remembers she has a family who may be looking for her, she, Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) take off on a life-changing quest to find them … with help from Hank, a cantankerous octopus; Bailey, a beluga whale who’s convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny, a nearsighted whale shark.
With Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas quickly approaching, many families are eagerly counting down the days to their Walt Disney World vacation. If your family will be visiting Walt Disney World this holiday season, you’ll want to be aware of the scheduled refurbishments listed below before you make your way to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
In “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” the all-star cast from the 2010 blockbuster is back with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter who’s desperately searching for his family; Anne Hathaway as Mirana, the kind, mild-mannered White Queen; Helena Bonham Carter as Iracebeth, the short-tempered, big-headed Red Queen; and Mia Wasikowska as Alice, the heroine at the heart of the story.
Beauty And The Beast has always been one of my favorite Disney films. From the very first time I saw the movie, I fell in love with the characters, the story, and the music. Over the years, I’ve watched the film numerous times, with each viewing being just as entertaining as the first.
Each year as the leaves begin to change colors, the Magic Kingdom is also transformed with the colors of fall. Main Street, U.S.A. comes to life with pumpkins, scarecrows, and beautiful wreaths made from autumn leaves. A few years ago, as I celebrated my birthday at Walt Disney World, I was able to once again experience the beautiful colors of fall at the Magic Kingdom.
The most explosive clash to ever rock the Marvel Cinematic Universe ignites a firestorm of conflict in the game-changing epic, Captain America: Civil War. In the wake of collateral damage, government pressure to rein in the Avengers drives a deep wedge between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), causing a catastrophic rift that escalates into an all-out feud.
Fall is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World. Main Street, U.S.A. is decorated with the colors of autumn. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party invites guests to dress in costume and trick-or-treat with Mickey and friends. Fall bring cooler temperatures and reduced crowds to the parks, as well.
The summer is quickly drawing to a close, and soon the Magic Kingdom will be filed with pumpkins, candy, and trick-or-treaters. While there are not currently a large number of refurbishments scheduled for the parks, refurbishments are scheduled for a couple of the most popular Disney attractions.
Summer is well underway! The Florida sun is hot, the parks are crowded, and it’s my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! For me, nothing says 4th of July like a trip to the Most Magical Place On Earth. Cinderella Castle is decorated with red, white, and blue at night. The American Adventure helps guests get in a patriotic mood. And of course, there’s also the fireworks.
It’s almost summer – the most popular time of year to visit Walt Disney World! If like me, you will be headed to see Mickey soon, you’ll want to know ahead of time which attractions may be closed during your visit. Below is the May 2016 update for Walt Disney World refurbishments. As always, the Refurbishment Schedule is subject to change, so be sure to confirm any information prior to your vacation.
The new TRON game allows gamers to customize their Program, aka character, by selecting various TRON outfits and different colors for the light effects on the clothing.
You hold on tight as your bike speeds down the track. A vibrant trail of light follows you; you’re driving your very own light cycle! Sounds pretty cool, right? Ever since I saw TRON: Legacy several years ago, I have been fascinated by the world of TRON – identity discs, light-up clothing, and of course, my favorite, the light cycle. Does it get much cooler than that?!

We’ve got the updated Walt Disney World Refurbishment Schedule so you won’t be surprised by any attractions closed during your next vacation. As always, the Refurbishment Schedule is subject to change, so be sure to confirm any information prior to your vacation.

There are quite a lot of exciting things in the works for Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The first new experience for Animal Kingdom will be the Rivers of Light show which is scheduled to open in Spring 2016. This show will take place in front of the Tree of Life on Discovery River, between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest. Two mystical hosts will come to the river, bringing their gifts of light.
As someone who grew up in a musical family and participated in show choirs throughout high school, I have always loved Broadway shows. Whether they’re in New York or in a local theatre, Broadway shows always leave me amazed (and wanting to see the show again)! A little over a year ago, I was able to see the Broadway production of Newsies, which just happens to be one of my absolute favorite Disney films, when it came to my hometown. The show was everything I had hoped for and more!
This morning I was thrilled to learn Disney’s latest Broadway musical, Aladdin, will soon launch a North American tour! The tour will begin at Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago with additional engagements to be announced.
