Today Walt Disney World Resort President George A. Kalogridis announced plans for Disney’s re-imagined Polynesian Resort. The mulit-year re-imagining of this wonderful Disney resort will include renovation of the guest rooms, feature pool, and the Grand Ceremonial House. The lobby concept art pictured above looks beautiful!
The resort, which opened with Magic Kingdom park in 1971, will return to it’s original name – Disney’ Polynesian Village Resort. Take a look at the resorts retro logo in the photo above.
As part of the re-imagining, the resort will get a new food and beverage experience – Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. This area will be based on the popular Trader Sam’s lounge at the Disneyland Hotel in California.
The new lounge will feature tiki cocktails, as well as, Polynesia-themed small plates. Are you excited to hear about these changes coming to the Polynesian?
