While searching for some interesting Disney history to share in this week’s blog hop, I came across the wonderful photo above showcasing several floats from the Disney Classics Parade. I had never heard of this parade before, so I just had to share it with you! The parade took place in the 1990s at Euro Disney, and as you can see from the photo above was still going on when the name of the park was changed to Disneyland Paris in 1995.
The parade features some unique floats and quite a few walk-around characters. The Jungle Book parade float is spectacular; I love that even Kaa was included in the float! And of course, what 1990s parade would be complete without Roger Rabbit?! He makes an appearance driving his bright yellow car. The Aladdin float seems a bit creepier than many other Aladdin parade floats I’ve seen. It focuses a bit much on Jafar for my taste, but let’s not get into my history with Jafar right now…
The amount of detail on both The Little Mermaid and The Lion King parade floats is simply amazing! Though it’s not shown in the video I found, the Dumbo parade float featured in the above photo looks like it was truly something to see! Take a look at part of this fabulous parade in the video below!
