Favorite Food Friday: Cake Pops

Cake Pops

I love making cake pops at home! They are so fun to make. I use my BabyCakes Flip-Over Cake Pop Maker which is pretty similar to a waffle maker. Once the cake is done, I roll each pop in chocolate and add sprinkles. I’ve taken these yummy cake pops to a few parties and they never last long.

I recently learned that Walt Disney World now sells cake pops. Their cake pops are so cute! Check out the Mike Wazowski and Jack Skellington cake pops in the photo above. I think I might have to attempt to make some Disney character cake pops like these sometime!

If you love making cake  pops like I do, you might want to try your hand at these awesome Disney cake pops I found on Spoonful.com. They have recipes for cake pops resembling Mickey, Kermit, Stitch, and many other Disney characters! These look to be a little harder to make than the ones sold at Disney, but they are just so cute! If you make any of these, be sure to let me know how they turn out!

Have you tried any of the Disney cake pops? Let us know which one is your favorite in the comments below!

  • I don’t get why the miniaturization of food is a good thing. Sure it’s portable, but you need, like four for a snack!

  • That machine you have looks neat. For my daughter’s graduation party, we made TONS of cake pops. We did the kind where you bake a cake, smash it, mix it with icing, roll into balls and freeze before coating. It was a LOT of work. But, it was such a great idea because we had a variety of flavors and, because we did the party open house style, we didn’t have a cut (aka ugly) cake sitting there. Each guest had nice, fresh choices! The Disney cake pops are adorable.

  • I do enjoy cake, but I have yet to have a cake pop. Sounds like I need to change that, love all the different designs. Thanks for sharing and linking up this week!

I can’t make cake pops because I would eat ALL of them. In one sitting. No self control around cake. Now I want cake.

    • I know what you mean! Luckily I haven’t done that….yet. I usually end up having to just put them up because if I don’t I won’t stop eating them! 🙂
