One of the best things about Walt Disney World is its location in sunny Florida! I love the palm trees, warm weather, and being in the sun; however, my skin does not love the sun quite as much as I do. Nothing can put a damper on your Disney vacation quite like a bad sunburn can. In order to prevent this, it is important to always wear sunscreen at Walt Disney World.
Each morning, before you leave your resort, be sure each member of your family puts on sunscreen. I recommend wearing sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 for most people. However, if you’re like me and burn easy, then I recommend wearing at least SPF 50. Also, be sure to put sunscreen on any exposed skin, including your ears. If you’ll be lounging around the pool or visiting a water park, you may even want to put sunscreen on the bottom of your feet.
Most days at Walt Disney World are sunny, so it’s likely you’ll remember to wear sunscreen on those sunny days. But even on the cloudy days, you can still get a sunburn. So remember to apply sunscreen no matter the weather and be sure to take some sunscreen with you into the parks so you can reapply throughout the day.
