As I sat in the dark, an epic battle was taking place before my eyes. Mowgli, Baloo, and Bagheera, characters I’d known and loved my entire life, had come alive and were fighting for their lives, as well as, their home. Suddenly, the most fearsome tiger I’d ever seen leaped into view, startling everyone watching in the theater, myself included.
Early concept drawings of Disneyland featured an eerie house filled with happy haunts. While most haunted houses were filled with terrifying ghosts and ghouls, Walt Disney wanted his haunted house to present a more comedic experience for his guests. The ghosts would sing, dance, and play jokes on each other creating an attraction fitting for guests of all ages.

Summer is well underway! The Florida sun is hot, the parks are crowded, and it’s my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World! For me, nothing says 4th of July like a trip to the Most Magical Place On Earth. Cinderella Castle is decorated with red, white, and blue at night. The American Adventure helps guests get in a patriotic mood. And of course, there’s also the fireworks.
The plan for the day was to visit Animal Kingdom and then park hop to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the new Star Wars fireworks show; however, after five hours of visiting many of our favorite Animal Kingdom attractions, we decided it would be fun to visit Magic Kingdom for a while. So we headed to the bus stop, only to watch the Magic Kingdom bus pull away as we walked.
