A lot of mulch, sweat and shears have gone into the 21st annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival presented by HGTV. For the past year, a team of 400 gardeners, horticulturists and landscape architects has been keeping their green thumbs busy preparing for this 75-day festival. From designing displays and scheduling expert presenters to […]

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be starting soon at Epcot! With this event comes some great new food offerings such as the Piggylicious Bacon Cupcake. With Valentine’s Day coming up, our friends at The Magical Blogorail are hosting a Valentine themed edition of the Riding The Rails blog hop. Each spring, Epcot literally blooms into the most beautiful park at Walt Disney World. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival transforms the entire park into a magical place filled with gorgeous flowers and character topiaries. The brilliant imagineers at Disney put so much work into creating each of the festival’s gorgeous topiaries. So just how […]
Three totem poles can be found at the Canada pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase. One of them is an authentic totem pole made from a 30 foot long cedar log. Disney hired Tsimshian artist David Boxley to create the work of art for the Canada pavilion. He actually created this beautiful totem pole inside the […]
In May of 1986, Epcot’s Spaceship Earth was updated. Walter Cronkite became the attraction’s narrator with an updated script. At the beginning of the ride, the fog machine was removed and twinkling stars were added. My favorite of the 1986 additions to Spaceship Earth was the attraction’s new theme song Tomorrow’s Child. This new song was […]
Each year at Christmastime, the America Gardens Theatre in Epcot fills with the sights and sounds of Christmas as Disney’s Candlelight Processional takes place. This amazing show features the Christmas story as told by a 50 piece orchestra, a mass choir, and a celebrity narrator. Much like The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, this […]
Next time you visit Mission: Space at Epcot, take some time to look around the gift shop for hidden Mickeys. In the mural on the ceiling, you can find a pretty neat hidden Mickey. Have you found any other hidden Mickeys at Mission: Space? Let us know in the comments below! Be sure to visit […]
Before the recent refurbishment of Test Track, the queue was filled with behind the scenes items. These items let guests get a glimpse of what goes into building and testing new cars. And of course, the imagineers used some of these items to form the shape of our favorite mouse! This week’s hidden Mickey could […]
Gift shops at Walt Disney World are great places to search for hidden Mickeys. In fact, this week’s hidden Mickey comes from a gift shop in Epcot. After your flight to the red planet, take a look around the Mission: Space gift shop. Along one of the walls, you will find electrical wiring and boxes. […]
If you’ve ever had a pastry from the bakery in France at Epcot, you know they are amazing! It’s been years since I’ve had one; so long in fact that I barely remember it and couldn’t even tell you what I ordered. But I do remember it being absolutely delicious! Knowing me, it was probably […]

Walt Disney World’s second theme park, Epcot, opened in October of 1982. Since then it has become a favorite of many Disney World guests. In this unique park, visitors can explore new horizons in Future World and celebrate many different cultures in World Showcase. There are so many great attractions to experience at Epcot. Here is our list of the top 10 Epcot attractions you won’t want to miss.
Even if you’ve visited Walt Disney World nearly 20 times like I have, you will still find yourself learning new things each trip. From vacation tips to Disney trivia and even finding new hidden details in attractions, there is always something fun and new to learn. I recently had the chance to visit Walt Disney […]
You may be familiar with the Living With The Land boat ride inside The Land pavilion at Epcot. This attraction originally opened as Listen To The Land on October 1, 1982, Epcot Center’s opening day. The original attraction had a fabulous theme song entitled Listen To The Land. In fact, this is one of my favorite Epcot songs. In September of 1993, Listen To The Land was closed and the original opening, theme song, and ending were removed. The attraction re-opened in December as Living With The Land. While the Listen To The Land theme song can no longer be heard in its original form at the attraction, an instrumental version of the song can be heard as background music outside of The Land pavilion and also at the Garden Grill restaurant.
This week’s hidden Mickey is found at one of my favorite Epcot attractions, Maelstrom. If you look at the mural near the loading area of the attraction, you will notice a ship full of vikings. Take a closer look at the vikings near the center of the ship. Much like many of the park’s guests, one of the vikings is wearing a pair of mouse ears!
One of my favorite snacks to eat while visiting Epcot is the churro. These fried dough snacks, covered in cinnamon and sugar, are delicious! While you can find churros elsewhere throughout Walt Disney World, there is just something extra special about getting a churro from the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot.
