When Disneyland opened in 1955, thousands of guests showed up to experience Disney’s new theme park. In fact, twice the number of expected guests showed up at the park. But do you know who purchased Disneyland’s first ticket?
While the first ticket to many other parks, including Magic Kingdom and Epcot, was provided to the Disney Archives, the first ticket to Disneyland was actually sold. Ticket number one was purchased by Walt Disney’s brother, Roy.
